Introduction

Audit Scoring Types allow you to provide a scoring mechanism to your audits.  All audits are marked out of 100%.  If the user answers all scored questions positively, they will score 100%, or should they fail on half the questions they would score 50%, and so on...

Using Scoring Types, you can set threshold from 0%-100% to provide your auditors with named score, e.g., “Required Improvement”, or “Outstanding” depending on their final overall score.

  • Navigate to the Administration panel.

  • Select the option ‘Audit Scoring Types’ under the category ‘Enhanced Audits’.

  • Here are your existing Audit scoring types.

Creating a New Audit Scoring Type

  • Select ‘Create new audit scoring type’.

  • Provide a name for your scoring type.  We recommend something clear to understand as only the title will be visible when assigning your Audit Scoring Type to your Audit.

Text Options

  • Enter the names of the different scores available for your audit.  You will begin with two and selecting ‘Add threshold’ allows you to add in more options.

  • In our example we have four scoring ranges for our audit: Inadequate, Requires Improvement, Good and Outstanding

Lower and Upper Bounds

  • These are your scoring bounds.  If an audit score falls into the threshold band, it will be assigned that text.

  • The scores rank from 0% to 100%.  Use the Upper Bounds to create a scoring structure which reflects how you wish the audit to be scored.

  • For example:
    • Inadequate audits are those scoring between 0% - 50%
    • Requires Improve applies to audits scoring between 51% - 70%
    • Good audits are those scoring between 71% - 95%
    • Outstanding audits must score 96% - 100%

  • Use the bounds to add your choice scores.

Text and Background Colour

  • When an audit has been complete the auditor will be able to see their score in a stamp at the top of the page.  You can choose the colour of this stamp and accompanying text.

Example score on an audit

  • In our example we are going to use a RAG system moving from red, through orange, yellow and finally green.  However, select the choice which would best apply to your organisation.

Colours added to an audit scoring structure

Updating Audit Scoring Types

  • Navigate to the Audit Scoring Types and select the one you wish to update.

  • Make your amends to the scoring type and select “save” to complete.

  • Please note your changes will be applied to all previous and future audits using this scoring type.
